Redefining the Roadmap Back to Your Body

Before working with Vanessa:

In a country where 81% of women have reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment and/or assault in their lifetime, there is so much still missing in the trauma survivor support system.

Survivors are not supported or informed on how to take our bodies back following sexual assault.

We feel removed from our bodies, not knowing, in the future,

how to be intimate again,
how to have sex after trauma,
or even how to enjoy sex again.

Even our partners of survivors aren’t fully taught how to provide the right trauma survivor partner support.

We end up feeling lost, broken, invalidated.

Without a healthy and established trauma survivor support system,
how can we relearn in order to return to ourselves?

After working with Vanessa:

Vanessa’s legacy is to empower and guide

survivors that are right where she once was,

to learn how to engage in healthy relationships after abuse,
to develop skills to better navigate your experience,
to learn who you are outside of your trauma,
to take back your voice, your power and your body,
and learn the words to express your experience to others.

Being a trauma survivor herself, Vanessa has learned through experience what it means to heal only your mind –
without healing your body of trauma,
the trauma brain will always win.

Vanessa developed the techniques that helped her
reclaim and reconnect to her intuition,
rewrite her body’s responses,
and redefine the roadmap bringing her back to her power and destiny.

She is here as the trauma survivor empowerment you’ve needed to achieve all that for yourself as well.

The Elements of Trauma Survivor Empowerment Support

Holistic Diet Meal Planning

To feel your body again,
and to feel good in your body again,
begins with how its fed and fueled.

Just as with the Embodied Nutrition
in the BEing Well program,
those in BEing Seen will be given and guided
through holistic meal planning
that include the working elements of
Anti-inflammation diets
Ayurvedic diets
Archetype Body Type diets

Embodied Movement

Movement that heals
found in the embodied movement practices
suited for all bodies
designed for all stories

Movement & Embodiment Coaching
can be found through the activating practices

Kundalini
Dance & Song
Buti Yoga
Accessible, Inclusive Fitness
Self Care Body Rituals

Somatic Sensory Practice

Somatic therapy modules and sensory practice let the body talk,
and be heard.

Unpacking trauma can be done through the senses –
your senses can help explain the trauma,
but also
to revisit and rewrite your body’s response.

Sensory grounding exercises are given to
become fully present in your physical environment – and to learn to trust it.

The Elements of Trauma Survivor Empowerment Support

Trauma Survivor Workbook

Developed after recognizing
the lack of guidance and content
on how to take back your power,
sensually and sexually,
after intimate partner violence, and rape.

These are the tools Vanessa utilized to reconnect with her mind, body, and spirit.
It is 10 years of professional experience
with 2 years of her own healing journey,
transformed into a 9-week/session workbook to start the healing process.

Trauma Survivor Partner Support

Taking their body back response from the act of processing the trauma
takes effort – and that needs support.

These practices help partners
support trauma survivors
as they begin body mapping –
taking their bodies back,
&
feeling safe feeling seen
once again.

Sacred Sexual Guidance

Exploring your senses through
the somatic sensory practices
gets you back to sensing your body –
to feeling your body.

It’s possible to feel good in your body again.
This Sacred Sexual Guidance will allow you
to explore your body deeper,
to relearn giving yourself sexual pleasure,
and even
how to receive pleasure from your partner.

The “Why” to Vanessa’s legacy: BEing Seen

Vanessa was where you are – but without the guidance on how to come back to the self from someone who has been right there and been right through it to the other side.

We endure, and endure,
to then come back to a body that feels caged by the trauma –
it makes sense why so many survivors look at themselves thinking,
“I don’t feel like this body is even my own.”

We feel foreign in our own skin,
especially when forced into a traumatic experience
that leaves us feeling removed from our bodies
with no guidance on how to ever come back.

Vanessa has been right there, too.
Her trauma kept her disconnected, disempowered, and disoriented.
There was no trauma and rape survivor support system
in place and accessible
so she found her own way
and redefined the roadmap back to self
so she could guide other survivors
as the Rape Survivor Empowerment coach
she and all trauma survivors deserve.

Vanessa & Other Survivors featured in “This Hits Home”

Sharing the stories of survivors, paired with medical evidence, this documentary provides insights into the trauma of interpersonal violence and its lasting impact on women and children.

Why BEing Seen?

Do I fit in the program?

Vanessa saw how much was lacking in the realm of trauma and rape survivor support and empowerment. BEing Seen was developed for those who feel removed from there own bodies, as if they dont fit in, even within themselves.

So, yes, you do fit in the program. It was made with a space for those like you who have experienced trauma and need the support that will help them back to their bodies and guide them to taking their power back.

Will my experience/trauma be understood?

Yes, your story will be heard and understood. Vanessa’s personal experience showed her what was needed to support and guide those that have gone through similar experiences/traumas. Her own story is what led to BEing Seen being developed and tailored specifically to those who are already on or ready to begin their healing journey.

I already tried therapy. How is this any different?

This is different because this program isn’t confined to just a therapist’s office.

You may have already tried therapy but something brought you to this website. Vanessa offers free 30-minute consultations to ensure it’s a good fit and you’re going to receive the service from the energy you need.

This is how Vanessa is different – she doesn’t take on just any client. She selects clients to work with to ensure she is the most qualified to address your needs – this is why trauma therapy with Vanessa looks like therapy, nutrition guidance, embodiment practices, and spiritual self-care.

How do I get started?

Send a message with the required information filled in one of the contact forms. Once received, Vanessa will reach out directly to you to schedule an intake consultation.

I'm not on a diet – do I need the diet meal planning?

Diet in this sense is not diet like we see advertised to us. The holistic diet meal planning is addressing how your body is fed every day.

Research shows us how trauma deactivates the digestive system due to the fight or flight response; therefore, eating a diet that re-activates your digestive system is a key to treatment. Trauma, especially acute and long-term trauma, results in acute inflammation in the body. Some of the ways we reverse these effects are with an anti-inflammatory eating plan, supplements, and physical activity in many forms.

Can the Holistic Diet Meal Plans accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. The meal plans crafted with and for you are all anti-inflammatory and ayurvedic inspired. Personalized holistic meal planning allows room to remove any foods or accommodate dietary restrictions.

If I dont have good movement, can I still follow the Embodied Movement Practices?

Embodied Movement, like the holistic meal planning, is tailored to you, your needs, and your abilities. There will be movement you can do, and there will be the movement that will motivate you to expand even further into what your body can do once the trauma is lifted from holding onto your body.

Do I need a partner for the Trauma Survivor Partner Support part?

No, not necessarily. We will be mostly discussing how to support partners during trauma activations. Therefore, if you don’t have a current partner, but are comfortable with sharing your experience for connection and education, then all are welcome.

I don't have a partner and I don't think I'm ready for the Sacred Sexual Guidance; will I still benefit from the program?

There is so much research on the positive benefits of the orgasm, which is why this is an important part of the program but not mandatory.

Sacred Sexual Guidance isn’t just about sex; it’s about reconnecting with your body in a sensual way, so if or when you want to exchange your energy in that way you’re comfortable. But again, you dictate your experience; therefore, you can choose not to include this in your program.
